Z6364106/ 2014/11/ 42 Hi there, The Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital are currently trialling a new online-guided self-help form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy( CBT) which is aimed to help individuals with unhelpful perfectionism. This guided self-help will be based Professor Roz Shafrans’ volume’ Overcoming Perfectionism ‘. When someones have completed each online self-help module, they will receive feedback from a psychologist at the Institute of Child Health, UCL. At the end of the study all participants will receive an e-book of’ Overcoming Perfectionism’ for free as well as a PS10 Amazon voucher.
There is a large body of research which suggests that perfectionistic propensities can cause an individual anxiety, without improving efficiency in tasks inevitably resulting in a better performance. We at the Institute of child health feel that this study could really benefit those who would like to speak to a professional considering nervousnes and stress resulting from having extremely high standards for you.
